Richard Doughty began his career in the healthcare financial industry in 1997, serving as a consultant to both for-profit as well as not-for-profit health systems. Since then, Richard has bought, sold or built numerous entities, most of which have been in healthcare.
In 2004, he became co-founder and co-owner of Champion Management LLC, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana headquartered corporation that owned and operated outpatient imaging centers in multiple states in the Southeast that are joint ventured with over 150 physicians and several hospitals. Champion Management grew to include a Home Health Company, Healthcare Billing, Outpatient Rehab facilities and other non-healthcare interests employing hundreds of individuals and generating annual gross revenues in excess of $40,000,000.
As CEO of Cypress Management Group, Richard brings his wealth of business acumen and healthcare experience to physicians looking to successfully transition to a concierge type model. He is particularly proud to offer physicians the Cypress option which allows doctors the ability to return to the type of practice they originally intended, all while earning significantly enhanced revenues in comparison to other transition companies. A graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a BS in Business, Richard is a former member of the LSU baseball team and played in the 1989 College World Series.
His interests include coaching youth baseball, fishing, hunting, LSU sports and above all, his family. He resides in Denham Springs, Louisiana with his wife and five children; including two girls that they adopted from China.
