Meet Jonathan Patrowicz, D.O.
Where did you earn your degree and describe your experience?
I earned my medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine. I am board certified by the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. With expertise in both family medicine and preventative health, I pride myself on truly listening to my patient’s concerns and developing meaningful connections.
How has the current healthcare model hindered you from practicing medicine?
Our current healthcare model has put a wall between the doctor-patient relationship and made it adversarial at its worst. It discourages spending time with patients, discourages developing any meaningful relationship during short office visits spent filling out papers and reporting codes, and discourages advocating for the patient’s best care against the insurance companies or payers wishes.
What is your philosophical belief about the practice of medicine?
My philosophy is that, in an ideal world, your physician is there for you. To that end, I advocate on behalf of my patients to fight for what we both believe is right and best for their care with insurance companies, specialists, hospital systems, and any other entity who tries to restrict care. I stand shoulder to shoulder during difficult times and help navigate challenging issues.
What will patients experience when they join your membership-style practice?
New patients will experience being part of a medical team who puts the patient’s needs first and maintains accessibility for them. They will feel that their individual needs are managed with the expertise, compassion, and privacy expected from the best patient experience they have ever known. Both my team and I will be here, for you, to make sure we are proactively taking care of your preventative medical needs, as well as providing a knowledgeable resource that you can rely on and trust.
What is your favorite quote?
“The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” - Sir William Osler
“I have found Dr. Patrowicz to always be dedicated and genuinely interested in taking excellent care with his patients. Since 2003 my wife and I have grown to rely on him for excellent advice, treatment, and care. The personal touch and manner he extends to us are greatly appreciated. We continue to have great confidence in his experience as a professional.
Concierge Medicine Philosophy & Approach
We believe that medicine today should focus on prevention, early detection, wellness, direct patient care and spending dedicated time with patients. These are the tenets of concierge medicine. After years of private practice, physicians who transition to concierge medicine get to return to giving patients the type of care they envisioned when entering medical school. Learn More
